Home / About Us
Peboga (People BuildingOpportunity through Grace and Action) is a non-profit organization located in Madison, Wisconsin and has been in existence since 2004. In the fall of 2004, PEBOGA began servicing the community implementing activities for local youth and adults by providing programs to the Madison community in the form of mentoring, athletics and arts & culture. Our programs and services are viewed as a catalyst for improving diversity and helping to strengthen the family unit.
Moreover, during the on-set of COVID-19 came the intense public awareness of the magnitude racial disparities had on marginalized communities. It was imperative that Madison address these disparities as it contributes to our collective well-being as well as the advancement of people of color. As Madison continues to become a more diverse city, there is a need to ensure that all its citizens regardless of race, or ethnic background can succeed. The work of the Black Male Youth Summit, Next Level showcase Park St. Music & Community Fest, the Health & Wealth Conference, and Fall Gospel Fest align with the focus areas of many organizations interested in mitigating trends highlighted during COVID-19. As a result of positioning ourselves to be able to continue serving marginalized communities with quality programming, we collaborate with organizations who work to lift these communities in meaningful ways as well.
We believe that the prosperity of this country is inextricably tied to the health and financial well-being of its most vulnerable people. We know that increasing the accessibility of health and financial knowledge to marginalized men is a rising tide that will lift all boats.
