During the on-set of COVID-19 came the intense public awareness of the magnitude racial disparities had on marginalized communities. It was imperative that Madison address these disparities as it contributes to our collective well-being as well as the advancement of people of color. As Madison continues to become a more diverse city, there is a need to ensure that all its citizens regardless of race, or ethnic background can succeed. The work of the Black Male Youth Summit, Next Level showcase Park St. Music & Community Fest, the Health & Wealth Conference, and Fall Gospel Fest align with the focus areas of many organizations interested in mitigating trends highlighted during COVID-19.
